Virginia Clarice Spinks, 90, a homemaker of Thomasville died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 23, 1922 in Chance and was a member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Spinks of Norcross, Ga. and Carol Morris of Vanceboro, N.C.; two sisters, Ruth Dozier Wilkinson of Tupelo, Miss. and Maudine Dozier of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Courtney Diette, Hunter Morris and Jared Morris; six great-grandchildren, Caroline Diette, Jackson Diette, Avery Diette, Andrew Morris, Williams Morris and Olivia Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Mitford Spinks and daughter, Mary Dean Spinks.

Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 2 at Thomasville United Methodist Church with Rev. George Sedberry officiating. Interment followed at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were Brad Dozier, Kirk Dozier, Manah Wilkinson, Ron Wilkinson, Rusty Wilkinson and Scott Wilkinson.
