Marjorie Louise Vice Odom, 82, of Jackson died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at Jackson Medical Center. She was born Aug. 4, 1930 and was a retired nurse with Grove Hill Memorial Hospital and a member of Good Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by five sons, David (Diane White) Odom, Bill (Debra Roberts) Odom, Andy (Janice Uptagrafft) Odom, Fred (Sheri Bradford) Odom and Brett (Shannon Cranford) Odom; three daughters, Bettye (Johnny) Boykin, Marianne (Willie) Motes and Angie (Bud) Powell; son-in-law, Dover Gurley; brother, Jerry Vice; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Eli Odom; daughter, Anita Gurley; four brothers, Marvin Vice, Coleman Vice, Bill Vice and Pat Vice; two sisters, Mildred Vice Johnson and Nell Parker and parents, Joel Madison and Lula Glass Vice.

Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 17 at Forest Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Interment followed at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson directing.

Pallbearers were Mike Nelson, Jonathan Gurley, Randall Odom, Andy Odom, Freddie Odom, Garrison Odom, Adam Powell, Austin Motes and Gaines Odom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Avenue Baptist Church.
