Joe Dale Clemmons, 78, of Thomasville died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at DCH Northport Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. He was born Nov. 20, 1934 in Millport. He was a former assistant traffic manager and a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jean H. Clemmons of Thomasville; three daughters, Cathy (Morris) Pate of Plant City, Fla., Susan D. Clemmons of Charlotte, N.C. and Nancy L. Clemmons of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Pauline (Roy) Williams of Tuscaloosa and Alice White of Gordo and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Claire Clemmons, Jonathan Robert Smathers and Martha Margaret Pate.

He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Thomas Clemmons.

Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 14 at Thomasville Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Parten and Dr. James Best officiating. Interment followed at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were Donald Pugh, Ray Dauphin, Benny Ray Stephens, George Overstreet, Bill Harrison and George Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Marcus Champion, Barney Woods, friends and neighbors of Eloine Street, the Fisher of Men Sunday School Class at Thomasville Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
