Mary Alma Garrison Allen, 93, of Dickinson died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at her home. She was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Yantley. Allen was a retired school teacher from Choctaw County High School, and she worked in Washington, D.C. during World War II as a cryptographic specialist. She was a former member of Concord Baptist Church where she was always working and involved in numerous activities. After she moved to Dickinson, she became a member of First Baptist Church Fulton.

She is survived by two sons, Gaines Earl Allen of Satsuma and Donald Herman Allen of Dickinson; daughter, Mary Edna Allen of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Ruth Littlepage of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gaines Allen.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 9 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bedsole officiating. Interment followed at the Concord Cemetery in Yantley with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Gabe Allen, Jonathan Allen, Jacob Allen, Jake Paul, Shannon Strunk and David Stejskal.
