Cecil Alvin McKinley, 86, of Thomasville died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Thomasville. He was born March 18, 1927 in Clarke County and was a former sheet metal worker at Craig Airforce Base. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Gary A. McKinley of Mobile, Terry E. McKinley and Perry A. McKinley, both of Fulton; brother, Aaron T. McKinley of Creola; two sisters, Eunice Drinkard of Thomasville and Bertha Snyder of Panama City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, March 22 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Darden officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Active pallbearers were Terry McKinley, Steven McKinley, Perry McKinley, Trey McKinley, Brett McKinley and Gary McLeod. Honorary pallbearers were Gary McKinley, Aaron McKinley, Jack McHaney, Kenny Logan and Glenn Snyder.
