Margaret Elva McManus, 92, of Surginer died Friday, March 22, 2013 at her home. She was born Jan. 25, 1921 in Princeton, Ind. and was a homemaker and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby (Barbara) McManus of Surginer and Phillip (Verna) McManus of Radcliff, Ky.; daughter, Joanne McManus (Emmett) Alexander of Pine Hill; sister,

Evadine Etheredge of Surginer; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 16 great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie McManus; daughter, Carolyn Moore; grandson, Scott Moore and granddaughter, Jan Alexander.

Funeral services were Sunday, March 24 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Gandy officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Joey McManus, Todd McManus, Audie Alexander, Dan Sweeney, Chris McManus, Lars McManus, Doug Moore, D’wayne Moore and Clyde Ray Pearson. Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Pearson and Sandy Sweeney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery fund or the Ronald McDonald House.
