Eason Andrews died Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was the youngest of eight children and born to Robert and Carrie Andrews on April 2, 1927 in Clarke County. He was a United States Army WWII Veteran and a member and past master of Toulmin Lodge F&AM No. 875. Andrews was a funeral director over sixty years in the Mobile area and was currently employed with Serenity Funeral Home, a member and past district director of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association and was awarded his fifty-year pin.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Murray) Rodgers; four grandchildren, April Hanson, Eason “Andy” Bexley, Robert Bexley and Cassie Garza; six great-grandchildren, Cody, Avery, Drake, Nya, Jackson and Jacob; sister, Lottie Hare; dear friend, Gloria Chatom; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Homer, Coley, J. C. and Robbie Dee; sisters, Lucille and Opal.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 24 at Bassett Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Grove Hill.
