Curtis Earl Stephens, 75, of Grove Hill died Monday, May 6, 2013 at his son's home in Grove Hill. He was born July 28, 1937 in Okalona and was a former carpenter and a member of the Okalona Methodist Protestant Bible Church.
He is survived by two sons, Mickey (Judy) Stephens and Mack (Cindy) Stephens of Grove Hill; daughter, Susie (Eddie) Knight of Grove Hill; brother, Bill Stephens of Grove Hill; sister, Josie Callaway of Grove Hill; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Stephens.
Funeral services were Wednesday, May 8 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Giles, Rev. James "Skippy" Gates and Rev. Curtis Lee Stephens officiating. Interment followed at Henley Cemetery in Fulton with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Active pallbearers were Perry Callaway, Dale Stephens, Craig Stephens, Scott Newton, Clay Hudson and Josh McKinley. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Wiggins, Harold Smith, Eudell Dunagan, Elga Goodman, Carl Smith and Charles “Buddy” Wells.
