Willard Everette Tucker, 86, of Sweet Water died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at DCH Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 23, 1926 in Dixons Mills. He was a retired security guard and a member of the Dixons Mills Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Tucker of Sweet Water; four daughters, Terri Tucker of Helena, Marilyn Genest and Barbara Tucker, both of Sweet Water and Karen (Jim) Freeman of Thomasville; one son, Larry Tucker of Sweet Water; daughter, Linda (Kevin) Liming of Helena; two sisters, Mable Anderson and Arcola Niemi, both of Madison; three grandchildren, Shannon Genest of Sweet Water and Emily and Adam Liming, both of Helena and a great-grandchild, Mikee Mixson of Sweet Water.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude Lee Richardson and Helen Gray Anderson and brother, John Tucker.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 15 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral with Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Dunning Cemetery in Dixons Mills with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were John Tucker, Gary Tucker, Matt Tucker, Jeremy Tucker, Mark Anderson and David Richardson.
