Cooke

Richard E. Cooke, 67, of Pine Hill died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his home. He was often referred to as "Hubcap" or "Cookie". He was born Feb. 15, 1946 in Union, Miss. He was a truck driver, a member of County Line Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy D. Cooke of Pine Hill; two daughters, Teresa (Walter) Jackson of Calhoun, Ga. and Sherry Jo Cooke of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Shelia Abernathy of Moorehead, Ky.; three stepsons, Bo Price of Portazz, Mich., Michael Price of Huntsville and Joseph Price of McCalla and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick Cooke and Dennis Cooke and brother, David Cooke.

Funeral services were Wednesday, June 12 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral with Rev. Rex Jackson and Rev. Edward Davis officiating. Interment followed at the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Nicholas Jackson, Wayne Pearson, Phil Bradford, Red Watts, Jimmy Dement and Dylan Averitt. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Rush, Bull Smith and William Westbrook.
