Charles William Freeman, 85, of Nicholsville died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at his home. He was born Jan. 23, 1928 in Nicholsville. Freeman was a retired electrical inspector, a member of Sweet Water Baptist Church, a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 84 in Wellsboro, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Black Freeman of Nicholsville; two sons, Butch (Cathy) Black and Andy (Tisha) Black, both of Nicholsville; three daughters, Susan Freeman (Frank) Yungwirth of Covington, Pa., Debbie (Bruce) Sims of Pine Hill and Nina (Steve) Lynn of Sweet Water; sister, Betty Jean (Bill) Black of Nicholsville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Morrison and Billy Morrison; parents, Davie William Freeman and Lucy Etheredge Freeman and two sisters, Sadie Poellnitz and Mary Boudreaux Bates.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 9 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Interment followed at the Old Liberty Cemetery in Nicholsville with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Active pallbearers were Ralph Bates, Billy Bates, Reagan Bates, Steve Lorio, Jeff Reed and Tommy Black.
