David Washington Glover, 61, of Sweet Water died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at the V.A. Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Sept. 10, 1951 in Sweet Water and was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Andrews Glover of Sweet Water; daughter, Debra Nicole Glover of Tuscaloosa; three sons, Shawn Dillon Glover of Sweet Water, Charlie Daniel Glover of Livingston and Joshua David Glover of Tuscaloosa; five sisters, Joan Strickland of Myrtlewood, Joyce Pritchett of Sweet Water, Sallie Jones of Dixons Mills, Pauline Tyson of Butler and Olene Vice of Nanafalia; brother, Bo Glover of Melvin and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 12 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Anderson and Rev. Chuck Hand officiating. Interment with military honors followed at the church cemetery in Sweet Water with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden directing.
Active pallbearers were Whit Daniels, Chuck Pritchett, Steve Cochran, Steve Shumate, James Steel and Randy Harris. Honorary pallbearers were Drew Robinson, Adam Sheffield and Jarett Mathers.
