Goldie Faye McKinley, 79, a homemaker of Thomasville died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Silverhill. She was born April 12, 1934 in Decatur and was a member of the Thomasville Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, James M. McKinley of Thomasville; six daughters, Judy Honea of Theodore, Shelia (Jeff) Spurlin of St. Augustine, Fla., Kathy (Ron) Bankston of Silverhill, Janet (Rudy) Mora of Dothan, Liz (Glenn) Farner of West Salem, Ohio and Felicia Richardson of Mobile; stepson, James A. McKinley of Mobile; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence M. James, Jr.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Thomasville Church of God with Rev. Troy West, Rev. Raymond Williams and Rev. Josh Gill officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Hank Spurlin, Lucas Spurlin, John Luke Spurlin, Jimi Honea, Shawn Mural and Beau Bonds. Honorary pallbearers were James McKinley, Jr., Josh McKinley and J. D. Stronko.
