Velma Ruth Langley, 62, of Sweet Water died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at Choctaw General Hospital. She was born Sept. 29, 1951 in Thomasville and was a retired machine operator with Georgia Pacific Paper Mill and a member of the Sweet Water Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Mickey Langley of Sweet Water; two daughters, Kristi Langley Pritchett of Sweet Water and Sabrina Langley (Tracy) Chandler of Monroeville; mother, Pauline H. Huckabee of Sweet Water; brother, Jerry (Ann) Huckabee, Sr. of Sweet Water; sister, Nell (Velpo) Waldrope of Sweet Water; niece, Shonda Huckabee; nephew, Jerry Huckabee, II; uncle, Beck Holloway, seven grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 16 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Grey Snodgrass and Rev. Billy Ballard officiating. Interment followed at the Sweet Water Cemetery with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Tracy Chandler, Velpo Waldrope, Donald Boyd Dickinson, Beau Lowry, Jerry Huckabee, II, Wrangler Williams, Clarke Holloway and Rev. Billy Ballard.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Class of 1970 at Sweet Water High School
