Connie Julius Hill, 82, of Thomasville died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at the Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Dec. 23, 1930 in Half Acre. Hill was a retired automotive mechanic and a member of the Wayne Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vergie Hill of Pine Hill; two sons, Lister Hill of Magnolia and Morris Hill of Pine Hill; two daughters, Sharon Brame of Dixons Mills and Debbie Hicks of Pine Hill; two brothers, John V. Hill of Dothan and Sidney B. Hill of Millry; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 22 with Rev. Lister Hill, Rev. Morris Hill, Allen Hicks and Rev. Sidney B. Hill officiating. Interment followed at the Shiloh Cemetary in Dixons Mills with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Active pallbearers were Amos Hill, Cody Hill, Jake Casteel, Roger “Dink” Green, Brian Hill and Dexter Hill. Honorary pallbearers were Jason McGilberry, Billy Mahan, Richard Henry Hill and Dale Jones.
