Doris M. Hill, 78, a homemaker of Fulton died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1934 in Sunny South.
She is survived by three sons, James Robert (LaWanda) McCoy Jr. of Stonewall, Miss., Johnny Wayne (Sherry Faye) McCoy of Fulton and Jack McCoy of Clara, Miss.; four daughters, Elizabeth (Don) Harvell of Thomasville, Debra Ann Dailey of Fulton, Anell (John) Purifoy-Houser of Grove Hill and Robbie McCoy of Naples, Fla.; son-in-law, Danny Ray Jones of Newbern, N.C.; three brothers, Clarence (Sylvia) Mitchell of Peachtree City, Ga., Koss Mitchell and Zadock (Anell) Mitchell; sister, Nancy White of Franklin, Ga.; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert McCoy Sr.; daughter, Jannie Bell Rearden; son-in-law, Billy Rearden; daughter, Lillie Mae Jones; brother, Horice Mitchell; sister-in-law, Linda Hosmer Mitchell; two sisters, Lucy Clay and Betty Rizzo.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 21 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Wright officiating. Interment followed in the Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Actice pallbearers were Chris Purifoy, J. T. Purifoy, Ezra Purifoy, John Robert Dailey, James Zadock Dailey and Steven L. Harvell.
