Fred Lee Fendley, 86, of Thomasville died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at his home. He was born May 20, 1927 in Tallahatta Springs. He was a planer mill superintendent with American Can Company, a member of the Springfield Methodist Protestant Church and a U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Rivers Fendley of Thomasville; three sons, Ronald (Sandra) Fendley, Gerry (Dianne) Fendley and Tim (Vickie) Fendley, all of Thomasville; two brothers, Jack Fendley of Pennington and Larry Fendley of Newport, Tenn.; sister, Faye Kelley of Thomasville; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 23 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Crawford officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Active pallbearers were Donny Fendley, Van Phillips, Kevin Crawford, Russell Ott, Rusty Swanson and Jimmy Andrews. Honorary pallbearers were James Fendley, Marcus Champion, Jack Bishop, James Alford, Ralph Kelley and Frank Jackson.
