Johnnie C. Knight, 93, of Thomasville died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was a retired millwright from MacMillan-Bloedel Inc. and was a member of the Thomasville Church of God.

He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Knight Amos and Gale Knight (Norman) Kelley of Thomasville: brother, S.M. Knight of Calhoun, Tenn.; three sisters, Prunice Todd and Hilda Knight of Thomasville and Olene Hallman of Bay Minette; four grandchildren, Cliff (Tracy) Amos of Thomasville, Rusty (Malissia) Norris of Seale, Brian Norris of Salem and Davis (Michelle) Amos of Moyock, N.C.; stepgranddaughgter, Kim (Gary) Surber of Sweeny, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Haley Amos of Thomasville, Anna Norris of Seale, Sydney Norris of Salem and Brody Amos of Moyock; two stepgreatgrandchildren, Troy Surber and Emily Surber of Sweeny, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Einnan Knight and son-in-law, Bob Amos.

Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 26 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Joe McKinley, Rev. Bill Flynn and Rev. Josh Gill officiating. Interment followed at Independence Cemetery in Sunny South with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Cliff Amos, Rusty Norris, Brian Norris, Godfrey Vick, Morris Knight, Bruce Phillips. Honorary pallbearers were members of the VFW Post 5106 of Thomasville.
