Beatrice Garrick, 75, born May 2, 1938, entered into rest Feb. 27, 2014 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Scyrene and resident of Grove Hill. She had worked for Vanity Fair for 44 years prior to her retirement and was a member of Grove Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Ann G. Cox of Grove Hill; nieces and nephews, Wayne (Jackie) Garrick, Beth (Ricky) Manchester, Joe Milstead, Robin (Charlie) Rawls, Michael Gregory, Johnny Garrick, Mark Garrick, Bryan (Lucinda) Gregory; great-nieces and greatnephews, Jeff Garrick, Kristi (J. J.) Stoker, Ryan (Jenny) Manchester, Jason (Maggie) Garrick, Haley Garrick, Kayla Garrick, Avery Gregory and Aaron Gregory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Alexander and Dimple Inez Hicks Garrick; three brothers, three sisters and three nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 1 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with Bro. Tony Meinhart and Bro. David Curtis officiating. Interment followed in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill directing.
