Bobby Lee Cassity, 78, a carpenter of Fulton died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at his home. He was born April 5, 1935 in Thomasville. He was a member of Yellow Bluff Baptist Church and attended Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ollie M. Cassity of Fulton; two sons, Bobby E. Cassity of Whatley and James E. Cassity of Fulton; four daughters, Sheila Haskew of Niceville, Fla., Annette Hicks of Commerce, Ga. and Judy Stephens and Cindy Stephens, both of Grove Hill; four brothers, Oscar Cassity and Floyd Cassity, both of Citronelle, Earnest Cassity of Mobile and Roland Cassity of Texas; five sisters, Unice Williams of Crestview, Fla., Louis Windham and Jeannette Bryd, both of Grove Hill, Georgia Ann Hardy of Mississippi and Dorthy Maxwell of Milton, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, March 7 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Jackson and Rev. Benny Crawford officiating. Interment followed at Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
Active pallbearers were Mike Norris, Milton Sheffield, Morris Allday, Joseph Fuller, Doug Fuller, Kyle Patton, Gary Dempsey and Gray Snodgrass. Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons and greatgrandsons.
