Fletcher O. Bagley, 81, of Auburndale, Fla. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 due to respiratory failure. He was born in Thomasville and had lived in the Auburndale area since 1969 after retiring from the military. Bagley spent 20 years in the Army seeing military action in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also retired after working 20 years with GTE, he worked six years as a crossing guard with the Polk County Sheriff's Department and was a rancher. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Bagley of Auburndale; daughter, Rebecca Bagley of Winter Park, Fla.; three sons, Glenn Hobgood of Hattiesburg, Miss.; Michael A. Bagley of Tampa, Fla. and Matthew Bagley of A'dale, Fla.; sister, Agnes Jackson of Mobile; four grandchildren, Gerald Morrison, Nathaniel Jester, Rice Hobgood and Grant Hobgood; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Leanne Hobgood.
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, April 5 at Kelley Cemetery at 2 p.m. with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.
