Rip George Wilkerson, 69, a saw operator of Thomasville died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1944 in Grove Hill. He was a member of the Okalona Methodist Protestant Bible Church and a U. S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Dana Stabler of Thomasville; brother, Elbert Wilkerson of Georgia; two sisters, Rose Lovelace of Thomasville and Nellie Burnell of Machias, N. Y.; two grandchildren, Chelsie Skelton of Mobile and Marissa Stabler of Thomasville and his angel, Sandra Johnson of Fulton.

Funeral services were April 12 at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral with Rev. Ron Giles and Rev. David Guy officiating. Interment followed at Kelley Cemetery with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Blaine Newton, Richie Elmore, Sean Skelton, Heath Bishop, Larry Sullivan and Lynn Goodman.
