Mildred Helen Luff, 86, born March 7, 1928, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. Luff was a resident of Grove Hill and was a retired RN with Anahuac Nursing Center in Anahuac, Texas. She was a member of Grove Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile in Mobile, North Allen Homemakers Club, recently receiving her 50 year State Pin and the Grove Hill Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Richard E. (Amy) Luff of Tennessee and Ronald K. (Vickie) Luff of Illinois; three daughters, Lori (Chris) Weaver of Grove Hill, Lynn (Jay) Temple of Palm Bay, Fla. and Lana Bonomo of Melbourne, Fla.; two sisters, Dorothy Kohlmeyer of Evansville, Ind. and Linda Bass of Booneville, Ind.; grandchildren, Ronald Luff, II, Nicholas Luff, John Richard Luff, Adam Luff, Emma L. Fagan, Emily W. Sheffield, Todd N. Temple and Clayton Weaver; greatgrandchildren, Chance Sheffield, Gunter Luff, Eli Fagan, Brody Luff, Drake Sheffield, Lincoln Fagan and Landon Luff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Emma Meier Loehr and husband, John Henry Luff.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 19 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with Rev. Tony Meinhardt officiating. Interment followed in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill directing.
