Mary Sweeney Davis, 70, a homemaker of Catherine died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her home. She was born Oct. 11, 1943 in Mobile and was a member of the Catherine Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edward B. "Ted" Davis of Catherine; son, Philip (Kim) Ryals of Surginer; daughter, Ashley (Kenny) Scruggs of Camden; sister, Patricia Childres of Robertsdale, two grandchildren, Devony Bowden of Brewton and Aden McRee of Camden and great-grandchild, Zane Bowden of Brewton.

Graveside funeral services were May 28 at the Catherine Cemetery with Dr. John Niblett and Rev. Jim Waters officiating and O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directing.

Active pallbearers were Jim Russell, Robby James, Dr. Louis McMilion, John Autrey, John Faircloth and Tommy Joe Sims. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Flanagan, Gerry Eriksen, Huck Morgan, Joe Harrison, Glen Sexton, Cecil Redd, Allen Wilkinson, Jimmy Bridges, Wayne Dees, Haas Strother, David Kennedy, Tommy Richards, Dan Wilkinson, Harris Riggs and Bobby Lane.
