Harold Wayne Leonard, 69, of Vineland, died Aug. 4, 2017 at his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1948 to Charlie G. and Fannie Pearl Leonard. He was retired from Century Link Telephone Company, where he had worked for 45 plus years. He was a pianist for the Centurian Quartet for 30 years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as pianist for over 40 years, and he enjoyed his time with the Friendship Baptist Church Choir.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie G. Leonard and his mother, Fannie Pearl Leonard Crocker.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Champion Leonard; son, Wayne Leonard (Christina); brother,

Rex Leonard (Judy) all of Vineland; sister, Joann Bridges of Linden; granddaughter,

Rylie Leonard and grandson, Colby Leonard (Sydney) of Vineland.

Funeral services were Aug. 7 at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. John Averitt and the Rev. David Walley officiating.

Burial followed at the church cemetery with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were Larry Knight, Quintin Pearson, Henry “Hot Rod” Morgan, Ray Vick, Duane Edmonds, Kenneth Stockman, Donald Lee Thompson and T. J. Pearson.

Honorary pallbearers were Members of the Friendship Baptist Church Adult Choir, Frank Arnold, Jimmy Dement, Darrell Dement and Bobby McManus.
