Alice Lee McConnell Parten, 74, of Mobile died Oct. 3, 2017 at her home. She was born Jan. 18, 1943 in Cambridge, Mass. She was a former nurse with The Thomasville Nursing Home and a member of Woodridge Baptist Church in Mobile.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. McConnell; her grandmother who raised her, Rebecca Gwynn McConnell; brother, Robert H. McConnell, Jr.; sister, Dorthea Cornell; her daughter,

Leigh Parten McKinley; and a grandson, Tony Ballinger.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Parten Lowery of Uriah and Marty Parten Lynn of Thomasville; two sons, Billy Parten, Jr. of Pascagoula, Miss. and Doug Parten of Mobile; two sisters,

Shelia McConnell Anderson of Perry’s Chapel and Rebecca McConnell Cotton of Walker Springs; brother, Billy McConnell of Whatley; 12 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 6 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Garry Harrod officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were Andy Wiggins, Chris Wiggins, Brad McKinley, Matthew McKinley, Robbie Parten and Dusty Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers were Hunter Parten, D. J. Parten and E. J. Jackson.
