Allie Jean Fendley Moore of Auburn, formerly of Thomasville, was born in Yellow Bluff on June 10, 1924 and passed away at Arbor Springs on Dec. 3, 2017. She was 93 years old.

Moore was a big fan of Tim Hudson and the Atlanta Braves. She enjoyed both Auburn and Alabama Football. She was a great cook, cooking meals for family. Breakfast especially was a favorite.

She is the daughter of the late Mattie Lee Welch Fendley and George Washington Fendley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Robert Virgil Moore; sister, Elizabeth Lee Fendley Gwin; and brother George Washington Fendley.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Jean Moore Poole, Robert Virgil (Ginger) Moore Jr. and Mary Louise Moore (Raymond) Hodson; grandchildren, Carolyn Justin (Chase) Williams, Reagan Mallory Moore, Robert Matthew (Magan) Moore, James Virgil Hodson and Allie Rae Hodson; greatgrandchildren, Jackson Moore, Anna Michael Edmonds, Rivers Williams, Mallory Williams, Knox Moore, and Lincoln Williams; and sister, Louise Fendley Blackshear.

Funeral service were Dec. 6, 2017 in the chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.

Interment followed at Gastonburg Cemetery with Frederick-Dean Funeral Home directing.

The family would like to thank the Arbor Spring special caregivers, Tiffany, Anise, Lura, and Keresia; special friends, Wanda, Diane, Bill, and Cracker Jack; special nurses, Aubrey, and Melinda.
