City still collecting storm debris



The City of Thomasville is still working to pick up storm debris from Hurricane Dennis. To date, nearly 900 cubic yards of storm debris have been removed. Mayor Sheldon Day encourages those who have storm debris to call city hall and be placed on the pick up schedule.

Lawmakers finally approve a state budget



In a special session, state lawmakers passed an operating budget Tuesday and 6 percent raise for the state’s employees.
