Flash flood hits area

Heavy rain battered Thomasville and the greater Tri- County area on Tuesday morning. Parts of Dixons Mills, around Highway 43, began flooding on Tuesday. The waters formed a lake next to the Chevron station there. “It was a lot of water,” said Chevron attendant Danny. “You could see it come in pretty fast at 6 a.m., when I got here.”
