CCHS Lady Bulldogs rally to win

The Jackson High School Lady Aggies hosted the Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs Wednesday, Aug. 24 in a five-match volleyball game.

The Lady Aggies jumped out to a two-match lead 25-21 and 25-13, but the Lady Bulldogs came back and won the next three matches, 25-12, 25-17 and 15-13 to win the game.

The starting players for Jackson were Brelee Woolfolk, Gracie Conerly, Adalyn Flournoy, Naomi Jones, Taylor Wilson and Aja Vall.

The starting players for Clarke County were Kelsan Ann Davis, Brooke Massey, Emma Crosby, Marleshia Berry, Alaysia Richardson and Hannah Hayes.

For CCHS, Jaylynn Cody-Lewis had eight kills, Massey had 10 blocks and four blocks, Crosby had one kill and five aces, Hayes had one kill and Davis had one block and 10 aces.

Jackson plays next at Thomasville High School on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 4:30 p.m.

Clarke County hosts Excel High School on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
