Pine Hill cleanup through April 7
Pine Hill’s cleanup is underway and continues through April 7.
A dumpster is located at the old Alabama Wholesale building for residents. Please use it for junk only, no household garbage, batteries, tree limbs or tires. The town will not pick up door to door this year.
Regular garbage pickups will be on Wednesdays as usual. Do not leave anything else by the roadside. Everything other than household garbage should be brought to the dumpster.
Grove Hill guard unit to hold reunion
A reunion of those who served in the National Guard unit at Grove Hill will be held Saturday, April 1 at 4 p.m. at David’s Catfish House in Thomasville.
Benefit singing for Maize Lolley
A benefit singing for Maize Lolley will be Saturday, April 1 at the Grove Hill Baptist Church starting at 6 p.m.
Featured singers will be Glory Road, Revelators and others. A love offering will be taken.
Rooster Day in Demopolis April 1
Rooster Day will be Saturday, April 1 in the public square in Demopolis.
There will be arts and crats, food and entertainment from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. A 5K and 1K will be at 8 a.m.
