This week Peggy and I loaned our Subaru Outback to our daughter Julie and our granddaughter Grace Anne Coley for Grace Anne’s move to Austin, Texas where she will be working as a Child Life Specialist with the new Dell Children’s Medical Center North which just recently opened.

This is a momentous occasion for Grace Anne and for all of us and we are glad that we have the opportunity to participate in a small way. Our car was needed because her car is too small to accommodate her clothing and other personal belongings.

We are very excited for Grace Anne and proud of her hard work and accomplishment. We are also proud of Eric and Julie for their efforts and parenting skills in helping Grace Anne achieve her goals.

All of us are very aware and grateful that the helping hand and loving care of our great and wonderful Heavenly Father has been evident every step of the way from the cradle to this point and His continued faithful presence and provision are promised for as long as His child has need.

All of our grandchildren are grand and Peggy and I are so thankful that God has allowed us to have a little part in helping them along their chosen pathways.

God’s word tells us to give God the glory for everything in this life that is good. James 1:17 New International Version, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” 1 Chronicles 16:28-29, tells us, “Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord Glory and strength!

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.” We are among the most blessed, for “Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.

Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

Some say it takes a village but give God the glory and I’ll see you in church.
